SIX developers generated RM64mil in sales during the four-day StarProperty.my Fair 2017 in Queensbay Mall, Penang.
The sales came from projects marketed by Zeon Properties Sdn Bhd (RM50mil), Aspen Group (RM10mil) and Asia Green Group (RM4mil).
Zeon Properties is the marketing agent for Aroma Development, Ewein Zenith, Bionic Development, Iconic Land and Mah Sing.
“The sales are from Aroma Development, Ewein Zenith, Bionic Development and Iconic Land.
“We hit the target we wanted, which is an indication that properties in good locations and neighbourhood are still in demand,” Zeon Properties chief executive officer Leon Lee said.
Asia Green Construction Sdn Bhd creative director Mei Tan said the group sold RM4mil worth of properties for the QuayWest in Bayan Mutiara and The Clovers in Sungai Ara.Tan said the group had also roped in a few hundred registrations for its new project called The Zen Affordable, priced from RM300,000 onwards.
“We are optimistic of the project as it is in the affordable category,” she added yesterday.
The project comprises two 47-storey towers with 1,200 units of 850sq ft inbuilt-up area, located on a 3.1ha site in Bayan Mutiara, near Queensbay Mall.
Aspen Group president and chief executive officer Datuk M. Murly said the group generated RM10mil from the sales of its properties over the four days.
“We have also received over 600 registrations for the properties showcased.
“Our marketing strategy is to offer our residential properties in move-in condition.
“The units are furnished, fitted and equipped with home and kitchen appliances. The owners don’t need to do major renovations upon completion.
“This strategy has helped increase our sales,” he said.
Most of the buyers are in the young professional group and those who want to upgrade, according to Murly.
Aspen showcased the Tri Pinnacle in Tanjung Tokong, Vertu Resort and Vervéa in Batu Kawan; and Beacon Executive Suites in Sungai Pinang at the fair.
Ideal Property general manager (sales and marketing) Nancy Teo said Ideal had so far received more than 300 registrations for The Amarene, a mid-range project located next to the Penang International Airport in Jalan Tun Dr Awang.
“We introduced The Amarene into the market because Summerskye, a similar scheme in the mid-range category launched in late 2015 in Bayan Lepas, is about 80% sold,” she says.
The 35-storey Amarene, with 1,100sq ft and 1,200 built-up areas, has 410 condominium units, priced between RM630,000 and RM750,000.
IJM Land senior general manager Datuk Toh Chin Leong said the crowd throughout the fair was encouraging.
“Quite a few were newly married couples looking for their first properties.
“This shows that there is still interest to buy properties.
“We have received many enquiries, which we are confident in converting into sales later,” he said.
Many were also spotted signing up for the Nov 19 Fit For Life Fun Run 2017 at The Star booth during the fair.
