Officiating at the opening of the factory were Finland to Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam Ambassador His Excellency Sami Leino and Embassy of Finland APAC region head and commercial counsellor Pekka Laitinen. Also present were Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Johor director Shahzul Jayawirawan Mohd Yunus and deputy director Mohamad Ariff Md Mohid, Peikko Southeast Asia managing director Triaskin Dmytro and over 80 stakeholders representing customers, suppliers, partners and authorities. 

The celebration featured an opening ceremony, guided facility tours and enlightening presentations that underscored Peikko's unwavering commitment to the Malaysian market. 

The new facilities comprise 32,292 sq ft of space and are equipped with cutting-edge machinery and production lines, enabling the company to provide even more precise and professional services to its valued clients. Leveraging its extensive expertise in precast and sustainable construction, the €10mil (RM50.8mil) facility in Johor Bahru is ideally positioned to cater to the dynamic requirements of Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and other Southeast Asian markets.
