THE second tower (or Tower 1B) of The Tamarind has received over 3,000 registrations during a carnival at the Eastern & Oriental Berhad (E&O) show gallery in Seri Tanjung Pinang.
E&O marketing and sales general manager (Penang) Christina Lau said they were pleasantly surprised with the overwhelming response to Tower 1B which consists of 552 units.
Tower 1A, the first tower also consisting 552 units, was launched in February and is close to sold out.
“Some arrive even before the registration was open to make sure they were able to secure their preferred units,” Lau said.
She added that the successful launch of the first tower helped drum up the keen interest for Tower 1B.
“People also recognised that this was an opportunity to own a prized property in a much-desired address in Penang,” Lau said.
The pricing of The Tamarind starts from RM600,000 onwards.
It is backed by E&O’s strong brand and track record.
Lau said a photo contest was also held during the recent carnival where families had their photographs taken in the show unit depicting their happiest moment ‘in their new home’ and uploaded onto the Seri Tanjung Pinang – The Tamarind Facebook page.
The first prize winner with the highest number of likes gets a one-night stay at the E&O Hotel Victory Annexe wing.
The second prize is a free buffet dinner for two at the E&O Hotel Sarkies restaurant, while the third prize is tea for two at the 1885 restaurant within the hotel.
The Tamarind, a 6.9-acre freehold high-rise development with an estimated GDV of RM900mil, features two blocks of 33-storeys comprising 1,104 units in total where a typical unit size of three bed-rooms and two bathrooms starts from 1,047sq ft.
For The Tamarind, E&O also partnered Ikea, the renowned home furnishing specialist, to collaborate on the interior design of the units and provide its full furnishings.
