WITH the rise of the homesharing trend, homeowners are encouraged to seize the opportunity to generate extra income by converting their homes into short-term rental spaces and advertise their living spaces via online platforms.
LivingSpace founder Ikhram Merican said regardless the properties are within the city or living in the outskirts, their assets would still be able to generate demand from travelers.
“Properties on the outskirts can create the same demand, although some places will do better than others in the outskirts and even in the city. Many people forget that local Malaysians can also be tourists and their numbers are also significant, so the outskirts is not a problem,” he said.
Ikhram will be sharing his expertise on homesharing and how homeowners can spruce up and convert their homes to become a viable source of income in the seventh installment of the Star-925 series.
The talk is titled “Vacation rentals: Succeeding In The Property Revolution” and will be held at Menara Star on September 30 (Saturday) from 9am to 12pm.
