KUALA LUMPUR: Colony has officially launched a new serviced office dubbed Colony Space, providing a new concept to change the working environment between staff and an office space itself.

The company has spent over RM8mil in construction and planning, with an expectation to construct establishments in two more locations within the next five years.

“In the past 20 years, our quality of life has improved via the introduction of better food options, living in better homes, drive cars that are getting safer and gain access to better healthcare, but the way we work has remained the same. We want to change that,” said Colony co-founder Timothy Tiah.

Fellow co-founder and Fourfeetnine.com popular blogger Audrey Ooi said, “We have a strong belief that work doesn’t need to be all drudgery but instead should motivate employees as they would perform best when they are happy.”

“Work takes up at least 40 hours of our lives each week, and to make sure that we feel great while working, this is where Colony fills the gap,” said Ooi.

The concept of Colony is designed to offer different perks to individual tenants, which includes a nap area for quick shut-eye, a massage room where a certified masseuse can be hired on an ad-hoc basis, an exclusive lounge with high ceilings and full height windows, and access to a rooftop gym and swimming pool where tenants can work out with full views of the Kuala Lumpur city skyline.

Colony is packaged with a diversity of co-working spaces and serviced offices in thought, whereby open co-working areas are split into a hot-desk and reserved desk area, while private serviced offices come in different sizes to accommodate businesses of all sizes.

Additionally, Colony also offers virtual offices and time-based passes to allow the tenant to have flexibility in their work environment.

The charges of Colony is based on monthly rental begins from RM528 for each hot desk seat, while private serviced office starts from RM1,988 inclusive of utilities, high-speed internet access and office cleaning services.

For those looking for timed based spaces, Colony also offers this service at an economy friendly RM338 for 100 hours for the tenant to enjoy the luxury of space usage.
