Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin (pic) said the scheme was meant for Rumah Mampu Milik Johor (RMMJ), package A community houses and package B community houses.
“The scheme will help qualified owners to rent the houses first before buying the property,” he told reporters after presenting keys to RMMJ house owners at Taman Scientex here.
Under the programme, a total of 701 units of RMMJ and package B community houses have been completed and were ready to be occupied.
Mohamed Khaled said the scheme would be introduced during the Ekspo Johor Berkemajuan next month in Kota Iskandar.
“The state government is committed in its focus to provide housing opportunities for all as a house is a fundamental need.
“Details such as its monthly rental and qualification terms will be announced during the expo, which would be held between Oct 6 and Oct 14,” he added.
