New condo designed for busy city folk

THE number “28” can be more than just two digits; it is a postal address, but more importantly, it is the latest development by BTHomestead Development Sdn Bhd.

Located on 28, Jalan Dutamas Raya, Kuala Lumpur, 28 Dutamas is developed as a family living space that aims to cultivate bonding and quality of life.

This is reflected by the sibling teamwork behind this project – BTHomestead general manager G.B. Tan, and building and property manager Tan Wai Ping.

With their strong commitment, passion and positive outlook, 28 Dutamas looks to be in good hands.

 

Built-up areas range from 1,253sq ft to 1,719sq ft, while the penthouse units are between 1,855sq ft and 2,378sq ft, and the family units are 2,608sq ft.

With a gross development value (GDV) of RM238mil, prices for the condo units start from RM688,000.

“Each unit is a corner unit. We wanted to maximise the natural ventilation and light around the home. It also comes with a balcony.

“The units have practical floor plans and functional layouts that are suitable for those with busy lifestyles.

“Homeowners will get scenic views such as KL city, Mont Kiara, Genting Highlands and greenery landscape, depending on which side they are facing,” said G.B. Tan.

There is a five-storey carpark building with a common podium that serves as a meeting point between the two towers.

The podium boasts a half-Olympic-size infinity pool, gym, squash court as well as yoga and dance rooms.

If you are hosting guests and want to show off the scenic surrounding, there are private rooms for you to hold functions. They are equipped with kitchenette, so preparing refreshments will be easy.

G.B. said apart from the 24-hour security service, security is three-tiered for the safety of the residents. It starts from the guardhouse, followed by the entry point at the ground lobby, and then the lifts.

There will be a laundrette and a convenience store, while service attendants make their rounds to extend their assistance to the residents.

Aside from the podium, located at the northeast of the development is a landscape garden.

Surrounding a small pond in the centre is lush greenery and a walking path for residents to have leisure walks.

On what makes 28 Dutamas special, G.B. said the number “8”, when laid down, is the symbol of infinity.

“In Chinese culture, the number also means prosperity, success, and wealth. As such, it is a sign of infinite wealth and luck.

“The name is meaningful, and it is a reflection of the quality of the project,” he said.

Wai Ping added that they also focused on growing families with the facilities they have come up with such as the children’s playground and the half-Olympic-size children’s play pool.

“The playground is not just your ordinary area with the usual slides and swings. It is equipped with play components that not only allow the children to have a good time, but also encourages them to put on their thinking cap when using the equipment,” she added.

Wai Ping recalled a father buying a unit here because his children liked the play pool that also comes with play components, making it a look like a mini water theme park.

The low-density condominium comes with 492 parking bays for residents, 25 for visitors, five designated ones for the disabled, and 29 motorcycle parking spots.

It is accessible via Jalan Duta, Jalan Bukit Kiara, Jalan Segambut, Jalan Kuching and Sri Hartamas.

28 Dutamas, which began construction in 2014, is fully completed; and keys will be handed over soon to homeowners.

So far, about 80% of the units have been sold.

To celebrate the completion and introduce the development to the public, BTHomestead Development held an event at the site to showcase the units.

This is the developer’s fifth project. Moving forward, its plan is to build a school next to 28 Dutamas, called World International School, Kuala Lumpur.

Aimed to be a destination school for children here and abroad, it is slated for completion in 2019.
