PETALING JAYA: Developer NCT Group of Companies (NCT) has launched the 1001 Nights Hotel, the latest phase under its Trademark Collection by Wyndham at Genting Highlands. 1001 Nights Hotel is slated to offer unique luxury experiences steeped in cultural and historical elements.

"The launch of the 1001 Nights Hotel under the Trademark Collection by Wyndham marks a crowning achievement for the NCT Group, as we raise the benchmark in the luxury hospitality sector and the profile of Genting Highlands as a coveted destination for travellers and tourists who desire the unexpected,” said founder and managing director Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy at the launch, which also commemorated the topping out of Grand Ion Majestic (GIM), a serviced apartment development, where the 1001 Nights Hotel tower will be located.

With a total gross development value (GDV) of RM 1.6bil, GIM will also feature an extensive retail space of 178,000 sq ft that offers a diverse range of shopping and dining experiences.

GIM was constructed in partnership with China State Construction Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd (CSCEC) while the concept of 1001 Nights Hotel was drawn up by Jiangda Design Co. Ltd founder and chairman Professor Zhao Ming. Among others, it features a Star River Theme Lobby and Sky Theme Pavilion Garden.

“By enriching our hospitality offerings and showcasing Malaysia’s unique cultural and natural heritage, the 1001 Nights Hotel at GIM will effectively contribute to achieving the anticipated tourism figures while elevating the nation's profile on a regional stage,” Yap added.

Also present were Pahang unity, tourism and culture executive councillor Leong Yu Man, Tourism Malaysia deputy chairman Datuk Yeoh Soon Hin and Visit Malaysia 2026 Secretariat head Zain Azrai Rashid.
