THE Malaysian Gifts And Premium Association (MGPA) launched its ninth Malaysia Gifts Fair, formerly known as KLIGP, at a new location – Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) – with the theme “City of Gifts”.
The fair, which will be held from July 5 to 7, is expected to be bigger and occupy four halls in KLCC with more than 20 categories of gifts, premiums, handicrafts, stationery, toys and games as well as crystal products.
“The local gifts industry is very competitive, and I think it is a good idea for local small-and-medium enterprises to work together and expand their businesses internationally, especially expanding into the Asean market,” said Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) trade and services promotion division lifestyle unit director Abu Bakar Yusof during the launch.
Visitors and exhibitors are encouraged to take advantage of the added international organisations that are new this year such as those from India and South Korea.
“We wish to bring more quality products to visitors and buyers with a diversified product list that caters to different market segments.
“This will show how much this industry has developed over the years,” said MPGA adviser Wong Choong Fatt.
