Petaling Jaya: The partnership of ML Global Bhd (MGB), a subsidiary of LBS Bina Group Bhd and Sany Construction Industry Development (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Sany Group Co. Ltd has formed a joint-venture (JV) entity to set-up a precast concrete panel manufacturing plant in central Malaysia within the next six months.
The Industrial Building Solution (IBS) will be introduced via this amazing joint-venture, which is enhancing MGB’s offerings to the local construction industry.
IBS is an innovative technique used to increase the efficiency, quality and productivity of residential and industrial projects.
“We are confident the joint-venture company will grow in the area of precast concrete technology with the transfer of technical know-how from SANY (M) including the design, manufacturing and installation of precast concrete, as well as the usage of precast concrete machineries.
“This joint-venture promises to strengthen our position to deliver excellence through innovation and quality assurance in our field of expertise,” said ML Global Berhad Group managing director, Tan Sri Lim Hock San in the joint-venture ceremony last Monday.
The momentous joint-venture ceremony was graced by LBS and ML Global Bhd managing director Tan Sri Lim Hock San, Prime Minister Department’s minister Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong, SME Corporation Malaysia chairman Tan Sri Dr. Mohamed Al Almin Abdul Majid, SANY group’s chief operating officer Tang Xiu Guo, Sany Construction Malaysia director Chang Ber Kuei, Sany Construction Malaysia’s general manager Wang Zhen Yi , MGB’s executive director Datuk Wira Joey Lim , MGB’s executive director and chief executive Datuk Richard Lim.
Lim explained, “With the phase one of the IBS, MGB has the capacity to build 2000 units of apartments per year.
The joint venture’s first project will be the LBS Bina’s SkyLake Residence in Puchong, two-block service apartments comprising Seven Hundred and Forty-Six units.”
Furthermore, Tang Xiu Guo, Sany Group China’s CEO said, “Sany would like to collaborate with LBS to stimulate and nurture each other's capabilities and strengths in order to contribute expertise in the construction industry, transforming and upgrading manufacturing localisation, inculcating local talent in Malaysia.”
YB Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong told, “The construction industry assumes a vital role in the Malaysian economy, contributing four percent to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and is expected to contribute 5.5 percent by 2020.
To support the growth, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) has provided both fiscal and non-fiscal facilitation to entice companies to adopt the IBS method.”
