PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) Johor initiated the Johor Real Estate Practitioners Annual Dinner 2018 recently.

Being the southern arm for MIEA, the event saw the gathering of all Real Estate Practitioners, business partners, fellow members, business associates from both the private professional institutions and public sectors.

Among the objectives of the event:

1) To update the general public on the Act 242* and to continue public awareness campaign to use the services of registered real estate agents or negotiators and safeguard the public interest from illegal agents or brokers. *Valuers, Appraisers & Estate Agents Act 1981 (Act 242) & Rules – Valuers, Appraisers & Estate Agents (Amendment) Act 2017

2) To provide a professional opinion to the new state government (after GE14) on issues about the real estate market (especially the secondary market).

3) Continue to upgrade /improve the professionalism of real estate agents and negotiators by providing proper training and guidance

4) Update on membership privileges

5) To encourage networking and fellowship between MIEA Johor and IEA Singapore members to create positive cross-border real estate agency business to prosper in this fraternity.
