JOHOR BARU: The public are welcome to contribute ideas for the review of the Johor Structure Plan 2030 draft.
Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the people could send their feedback during the programme that would be held until April 8.
He said the state government was open to ideas and even criticism to ensure the development of Johor would be carried out together, and in the spirit of Team Johor.
“Any proposals or feedback will be taken into account to develop the state together,” he said.
Mohamed Khaled said this in his speech after launching the publicity and public objection of the Johor Structure Plan 2030 drafting programme at the Persada International Convention Centre.
“I believe that all feedback from the people of Johor would help refine the review of the draft for the state’s vision on the whole,” he said.
He added that to make Johor a national and regional economic power, four core areas have been outlined in the draft.
Mohamed Khaled said the planning would include the principle implementation of inclusive development, the cultural and environment sustainability, competitive economy as well as eco-friendly environment.
“The first core idea is the dynamic and balanced growth between south and the outside of south conurbation, while the second plan is the international transportation and infrastructure transportation system.
“Thirdly, the plan is focused on the conservation and sustainability of Johor while the fourth is for stable and competitive governance,” he said.
