KOTA KEMUNING: Maxis and Gamuda Land recently signed a service agreement for the provision and deployment of network infrastructure and services to one of Gamuda Land’s key township developments, twentyfive.7 which is located at Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam.
The collaboration is part of Maxis’ on-going co-investments with property developers in providing high-speed broadband connectivity to homes through its own built fibre network.
According to the press statement, the agreement was successfully concluded after a market competitive evaluation process by Gamuda Land.
Under the agreement, each of the 279 units of Phase 1A & 1B and 596 units of The Amber Residence in twentyfive.7 will be equipped with a customised MaxisONE Home fibre plan with a speed of up to 300 Mbps.
Nason said: “Consumers today expect total connectivity solutions as their lifestyles become increasingly digital.
“The future is about converged offerings, and we have the ability to offer both fixed and mobile to provide these total solutions to our broadband customers.”
He added that Maxis will continue to invest in accessing available fibre networks in Malaysia and building its own where possible.
“Beyond connectivity, we look forward to working with Gamuda Land in the longer-term on co-creation initiatives as well as providing solutions that can power up not just individual homes, but entire communities,” said Nason.
The customised plan, which comes with unlimited iFlix access at home and mobile, unlimited free domestic calls to all mobile and landlines and a DECT phone, will be free for residents for two years from the time it is activated, courtesy of Gamuda Land.
Ngan said: “We are mindful throughout our masterplan design and architectural construction by implementing the right facilities and technology that supports virtual connectivity to build a sustainable community.
“Naturally, this encompasses providing the right network infrastructure in advance to equip the community with high-speed internet and enhance their virtual connectivity.”
