KUALA LUMPUR: Marriott International Inc has signed an agreement with a subsidiary of Hap Seng Consolidated Bhd to establish the first Marriott Executive Apartments in Kuala Lumpur.
Located at the intersection of Jalan Kia Peng Road and Jalan Stonor Road, the project is expected to open in 2024.
During the signing, Marriott International was represented by its Asia-Pacific hotel development senior vice president Kevin Chen. Hap Seng was represented by its project management director Manfred Weber.
“We are delighted to work with Hap Seng to introduce Marriott Executive Apartments to the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur. Today’s signing further underscores our long-term commitment in strengthening our footprint in Malaysia,” Marriott International Asia-Pacific hotel development senior director Andree Susilo said.
Marriott Executive Apartments Kuala Lumpur will be located in the city’s central business district, providing access to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the Petronas Twin Towers, Bukit Bintang’s shopping district and two newly opened MRT stations.
“We are pleased to announce the first Marriott Executive Apartments in Kuala Lumpur, and more importantly, to add another exciting project to our growing hospitality portfolio in Malaysia,” Hap Seng chairman Thomas Karl Rapp said.
Featuring 352 modern residential apartments, Marriott Executive Apartments Kuala Lumpur is designed with studios and one, two and three-bedroom apartments. It will offer a residents’ lounge that will cater for breakfast and evening service, as well as a rooftop bar. Additional design plans call for a 25m outdoor swimming pool, a kids club and fitness facilities equipped with lockers, a sauna and steam rooms.
