Malaysia Property Expo (MAPEX), is rising as a part of the Real Estate Housing Developers Association’s (REHDA) effort to encourage home ownership amongst Malaysians.
REHDA is collaborating with the Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government (KPKT) to proudly host the, Affordable Housing Carnival-Malaysia Property Expo (KPMM-MAPEX) that would soon take place in August.
The carnival will be held at Shah Alam Convention Centre from August 11 to 13, 10.30 am to 7.30 pm.
“REHDA is expecting a target sale of 100,000 units of houses in the upcoming Affordable-Housing Carnival." REHDA patron and former president Datuk Ng Seing Liong told in the press conference which was held on July 4 at Wisma REHDA, Petaling Jaya.
The press conference was graced by Mapex 2017 organisation chairman Ng Seing Liong, Mapex 2017 organization committee Zulkifly Garib, National Housing Department deputy chief director operation Jayaseelan Navaratnam and National Housing Department director enforcement division Mohamad Ali Bin Othman.
Datuk Ng said, “For the first time REHDA is collaborating with Ministry of Housing and Local Government to organise MAPEX.This housing carnival is launching with the theme “Rumah Mampu Milik Sempurna, Rakyat Sejahtera.”
“We proudly inform that our prime minister, Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Seri Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak is invited to MAPEX to officiate the insightful housing carnival on August 11,” he added.
The Affordable-Housing carnival hopes to cater to house buyer needs in finding their dream homes through the gathering of various types of affordable homes as well as properties with attractive discounts and promotions all under one roof.
The special edition housing carnival emphasises on showcasing affordable housing priced below RM 500,000, believed to be the main attraction amongst visitors.
"REHDA will try to seek opportunities and commit in more ventures with the government to come out with more affordable housing projects in the future," Ng said.
"It is to be informed that REHDA has in place commitments with 15 developers in Malaysia."
"Developers should understand that MAPEX is by the developers, for the developers and of the developers."
"So the developers should rush to get the places at Shah Alam Convention Centre on the day of housing carnival as only limited booths are available," he added.
Properties with special bumiputera discounts will also be showcased during the housing carnival.
It is thus important for visitors to grab this opportunity to visit KPMM- MAPEX as there will be a wide range of choices available tagged with affordable prices.
Mr. Jayaseelan said, " This housing carnival will be a testing platform of the private and government entitiesm, to better understand the real world happenings so we will know the people's real needs and favour them to realise their dreams in the future.”
"This is the reason that we are providing this wonderful platform for visitors to look at properties which might suit their budget and purchase what they need accordingly,"
"Now the ministry is collaborating with KLIA to develop the national housing policy version 2. We are moving from state to state to understand what is the state's requirement and determine the factors of affordable house prices.
“At the same time, we are also trying to standardise the house prices. This is mainly to make the environment more conducive and safe as well as to face the future demands by developing affordable ideal houses," he added.
This upcoming KPMM-MAPEX will be participated by Glomac Berhad, IJM Land Berhad, UEM Sunrise Berhad, Mitraland Group, Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad and the several agencies under the National Housing Department (JPN).
Apart from property exhibition, there are various activities and attractive prizes waiting for visitors, during the said three-day carnival.
