PETALING JAYA: The Maju group has recently unveiled a home ownership scheme, OwnitNow, in conjunction with the launch of Sky Five, the first tower of the 14-acre Maju Kuala Lumpur integrated transit-oriented development located next to the KL-Seremban highway.
The scheme allows house buyers to sign a sale and purchase agreement for a 882 sq ft loft apartment for only RM2,000. The first 10% down payment can be paid on a monthly basis on an interest-free basis spread over 42 months. The buyer need only to apply for a home loan three years from the date of the agreement.
Maju Holdings Sdn Bhd group managing director Mohd Faiq Abu Sahid said the scheme would make it easier for many to own their homes, given the more stringent housing loan guidelines and escalating property prices.
“We want to design and develop a product that is a great starter home in Kuala Lumpur,” he said in a statement.
Designed for first-time home buyers and upgraders, the OwnitNow programme addresses the significant financing issues faced by a first-time home buyers or upgrader.
“We will also run roadshows collaborating with CTOS for first-time home buyers, so that they can plan and learn to improve their credit rating before applying for their loans,” Faiq said.
