KUALA LUMPUR: Mah Sing Group Bhd is partnering Philips Lighting to develop smart lighting systems to be packaged with Mah Sing’s residential units.

It will be rolled out at the Caspia double-storey cluster homes within M Residence 2 in Rawang.

The strategic alliance will make Philips Lighting the technical adviser for Mah Sing in meeting lighting requirements of specific projects.

Speaking after a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony, Mah Sing Group CEO Datuk Ho Hon Sang said the partnership is a good fit for both companies as they have similar target markets.

“Caspia @ M Residence 2 will be one of the first in Malaysia to showcase the Philips Hue system, which offers pre-installed smart lighting technology and convenience to our home buyers.

“In a technology-driven age, we are constantly discovering new ways and ideas to reinvent and elevate standards of home living for Malaysians,” said Ho.

The Philips Hue system will be included in the interior design (ID) package offered for the recently launched Caspia Phase C2.

The ID package is one of the many packages that make up Mah Sing’s #MyHomeMyStyle campaign to be launched on Nov 24-25, which aims to help its customers design a space that reflect their individual tastes and styles.

Potential smart-home owners can choose from the selection of renovation packages according to their needs and budget.

“We are discussing to bring this collaboration to more projects in the Klang Valley before introducing it in other regions,” added Ho.

Caspia, which is priced from RM870,800, is the premium parcel within M Residence 2, a gated and guarded township with a four-acre clubhouse featuring swimming pools, BBQ corner, multi-purpose hall and gym.

To date, Phase C1 of Caspia has achieved about 90% take-up rate.

M Residence 2, which has a gross development value of RM762mil, is easily accessible from the LATAR expressway, New Klang Valley Expressway and extension from Jalan Tasik Putra.

Philips Hue is a personal wireless lighting solution that allows users to control their connected lights through custom settings and programme timers, from anywhere in the world using a smart device.

In addition, Philips Hue can help manage a host of other activities including music and movie sync, alarm system as well as mood lighting as per users’ daily schedule.
