The volunteers of M101 and PeopleGiving together with the children of Kampung Bertang after receiving their gifts.
PETALING JAYA: M101 Holdings Sdn Bhd recently contributed RM15,000 towards PeopleGiving’s 10th Library of Hope initiative in Kampung Bertang, Bentong, Pahang.
About the 10th Library of Hope:
- Library of Hope aims to provide a platform where children can come together to learn and develop skills for their future.
- The 25 volunteers from M101 and 15 volunteers from PeopleGiving joined to help build this library and playground.
- The library was built in Kampung Bertang which is home to 350 villagers with 170 of them below 17 years old.
“Every day across the globe, millions of children do not have access to education and we are disheartened to see this happening even in our own country, Malaysia. Further to building iconic landmarks, M101 also believes in playing an active role in building communities and we believe it starts with education,” said M101 executive director Datin Lea Chan.
