Shoppers can look forward to the newly completed Phase one of the IPC Shopping Centre’s, LG1 and LG2 that opened last Saturday.
The mall has been under redevelopment since March 2017, with the purpose of strengthening its market presence.
“This redevelopment is part of our plan to future proof the centre, and we’re not afraid to make changes to achieve what we believe in, a bigger, brighter, and greener future for us and our shoppers,” IKEA Southeast Asia Shopping Centre director Thomas Malmberg said.
The centre has returned to its roots, sporting a new look, mirroring distinctly Scandinavian touches throughout the development.
LG1 will now be dubbed Foodland, complete with a new concept and design. This floor also welcomes back popular tenants such as Uncle Lim, De Irrfan’s Café, and Noodle Shack.
Other returning tenants, such as Harvey Norman, are looking forward to the changes. “The redevelopment effort has given us the opportunity to launch our new duplex concept,” said Harvey Norman Malaysia Lead general manager Eddy Ng.
i-Alter and Thule outlets will also be making a comeback at the LG2 level of the mall.
IPC Shopping Centre is prioritising family-friendly features with its redevelopment and will be creating an all-new kids’ play area, featuring a sweets and confectionery space called Funland, on Level 2.
This space will also be home to the second Young Chefs Academy in Malaysia – featuring fun and creative cooking classes for kids.
IPC Shopping Centre is also enthralled to play host to new tenants such as AEON Wellness and Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul while, Ben’s Independent Grocer will be opening in October.
“We consider our presence in IPC Shopping Centre a good way to expand our reach into growing neighborhoods,” said Ben’s Independent Grocer managing director David Tseng.
“We pride ourselves on our promise of delivering the finest produce to our customers, and look forward to serving the good people of Mutiara Damansara this coming October,” said David.
Besides sporting a new design, IPC Shopping Centre has also committed to a greener future by investing in a leading sustainable dishwashing and cleaning system.
In addition, IPC Shopping Centre was the first shopping centre in Malaysia to house a Recycling and Buy-Back Centre (RBBC), and has set a benchmark for others.
The mall will play host to fun activities to celebrate its re-opening with fun activities such as a kids’ bento making workshop, face painting, and a balloon sculpture giveaway.
All customers are entitled to exclusive gifts with a minimum purchase of RM30, valid through the month of July.
Shoppers are welcome to explore the renewed LG floors, to get a taste of what the new IPC Shopping Centre has got in store.
