Promoting healthy lifestyles and appreciation of the outdoors
IOI Properties Group Berhad (IOIPG) is having an IOI Properties Obstacle Run 2016, which will be held on Dec 4, 2016. The event is expected to attract 500 participants who will attempt various obstacles throughout a 5km trail in Bandar Puteri Puchong.
Each participant is entitled to receive an event t-shirt, goodies bag and a finisher medal with a registration fee of RM60. There are six categories available for different age groups ranging from age 15, to 45 years old and above.
The event is in line with IOI Properties efforts in advocating healthy lifestyles via sports or outdoor activities. Besides encouraging bonding with families and friends, it aims to encourage appreciation of the outdoors. An obstacle run offers participants exciting challenges of different levels and this helps boost confidence in youths as they prepare for adulthood.
IOIPG is pleased to have with us participants aged 15-17 from homes located in Puchong, namely House of Joy and Rumah Shalom. We are glad to be able to create a memorable and impactful experience for these young participants as we believe that sporting activities and appreciation of the rugged aesthetics of our surroundings are to be enjoyed by all and not just limited to those who can afford it.
IOIPG chief operating officer Teh Chin Guan said, “This is a very meaningful event as it does not only promote the appreciation of outdoors recreation, but as a lifestyle developer who cares, we hope that such activities will be able to promote healthy living amongst the community.
“As a socially responsible developer, IOI Properties Group Berhad is committed to nurturing sustainable communities. Thus, it is through such sporting activities that we hope to build strong and sustainable relationships with our community.”
