PETALING JAYA: The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia is set to organise the International Construction Week (ICW) 2018.

Aim: To raise awareness amongst industry players in the area of construction technology and innovation as part of CIDB’s aim to improve the overall productivity and competitiveness of the industry
“ICW 2018 signifies CIDB’s long-standing commitment to make Malaysia’s construction industry a global leader particularly in the areas of productivity, quality and safety.
To achieve this, it is imperative that we continue efforts to enhance the productivity levels of the construction industry by synergising a highly-skilled workforce with modern construction technologies that are available today,” said CIDB Malaysia senior general manager (policy and corporate sector) Sr Sariah Abdul Karib.

ICW 2018 will feature exhibitions, seminars and talks on the use of modern construction technologies such as:
- Industrialised Building Systems (IBS)
- Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- New sustainable materials and energy sources
- Innovative design approaches
- Advances in digital technology
Confirmed keynote speakers for ICTC:
- Rajat Agarwal of McKinsey Capital Productivity Southeast Asia;
- Zhang Yue of BROAD Group China; and
- Richard Kuppusamy of Lendlease Asia.
ICTC will also feature Konvensyen Usahanita Binaan (KUBINA2018), which highlights leading women professionals in the construction industry.
