PETALING JAYA: To share the experience and expertise on interior design knowledge across the region, the Asia Pacific Space Designers Alliance (APSDA) has held their first ever general assembly on Oct 21.
Chris Yap, recently elected as the alliance’s president during the APSDA Board meeting in Manila on March 10, has officiated the general meeting.
The alliance was formalised with Registrar of Societies in Malaysia on Jan 23. The meeting agenda included budget planning for the society.
The eight member countries who were officially registered as the full founding members of APSDA included Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers, Japan Commercial Environmental Design, Philippine Institute of Interior Designers, Thailand Interior Designers Association, Indonesian Society of Interior Designers, Institute of Indian Interior Designers, Chinese Society of Interior Designers and Design Institute of Australia.
The alliance is accepting new registration from other associations after the first general meeting.
