PETALING JAYA: i-City will be launching another luxurious suites equipped with smart technology and located above the prestigious branded Hilton Hotel at the upcoming StarProperty.my Fair 2017 on June.
Held at i-City from June 10 to 12, the fair will showcase the units that will adopt the concept of Internet of Things (IoT), which utilizes digital technology to provide quality service for the residents.
Present at the press launch were Star Media Group Bhd managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai, I-Bhd executive chairman Tan Sri Lim Kim Hong and i-City director Monica Ong.
Ong said the development suited above DoubleTree by Hilton i-City will offer 200 units from level 24 to level 42, with built-ups ranging from 480sq ft to 880 sq ft and priced from RM500,000.
"The reason why we have such extraordinary investments in all the buildings is that it is in line with our corporate goal of retaining properties in i-City, amongst which is the DoubleTree by Hilton i-City as part of its property investment.
"Eventually, the i-City community will be able to enjoy the various aspects of the Ultrapolis such as the building design, technology infrastructure, smart township management," said Ong.
DoubleTree by Hilton i-City, which will offer 300 rooms from ground floor to level 23, was launched last year and has recently completed its piling works.
Ong also said the addition of Central Pattana, the biggest mall operator in Thailand, in the development of the Central i-City regional shopping centre next to the four-star DoubleTree by Hilton compliments the brand’s requirements of i-City.
“i-City will be managing the Ultrapolis services in line with its smart city vision, such as traffic management, technology infrastructure and more.
"With these as the backbone, you can imagine the care and attention the design and development team has put in to ensure that the project development next to the DoubleTree by Hilton i-City continues the seamless transition from the hotel to the residences and offices. Everything is designed as part of the hotel, “she added.
In addition, Ong said i-City will be handing over 3360 units of other project within i-City for the next few months, on top of the 1000 units completed since 2010.
Wong Chun Wai said that the incorporation of IoT concept marks a historic moment and sets the benchmark where homes that incorporated advance technology are built.
He said this move also corresponded to Star Media Group’s decision to venture into the field of digital technology, which gave birth to the Over-The-Top (OTT) streaming service dimsum and the launch of Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N (Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network) at Las Vegas.
