The Home Design and Interior Exhibition (HOMEDEC) returns this year in Kuala Lumpur with eight more halls featuring products and services related to furnishing and decorating ideas, as well as interior styles. The exhibition is happening from 1 to 4 Nov at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
HOMEDEC, organised by award-winning exhibitions organiser C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd is held concurrently with REKA Interiors Exhibition (RiX), and jointly organised by MIID Reka Sdn Bhd (MRSB).
During the opening ceremony of HOMEDEC KL, C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd president Datuk Vincent Lim said: “This strategic collaboration with MRSB is aligned with one of HOMEDEC’s principle aims of being at the forefront of growing businesses and the industry alike, for the mutual benefit of all stakeholders.”
The HOMEDEC show home puts the spotlight on the “New-Gen Homes” and studio living, featuring modern spaces catered to compact living for the new generation.
Focused around the lifestyle of millennials and Gen-Z, the two show homes — collectively named M-Quarters aim to inspire and encourage visitors to use their imagination and creativity to search for unconventional solutions when living in small studios and micro apartment units.
Leading both the consumer and trade show, Lim added: “With our strategic collaboration with MRSB, we hope to elevate the interior design industry in Malaysia and bridge the gap between homeowners, businesses and exhibitors by bringing together the leading voices of the interior design industry.”
One of the highlights of this year’s RiX is the inaugural Design Installation. It will showcase nine masterpieces by nine renowned and influential designers where each presentation is an exclusive mastery on its own.
In this pairing of each designer to the nine exhibitors, visitors can see how the designs will utilise selected materials from the selected number of exhibitors to demonstrate an ingenious way to create a masterpiece artwork.
