Public can attend talks and forums about property purchase and investment

WITH numerous developments under way at various locations, home buyers are faced with opportunities as well as challenges.
Those lacking sufficient information or knowledge of the property market could end up losing money if they make the wrong purchase or investment.
To the uninitiated, purchasing a house can be an exhausting task.
Challenges and uncertainties faced by buyers include affordability, loan financing, choosing the best location or the right housing product, whether to rent or to sell, and more.
Before taking that big step towards owning a home, buyers should seek more information by attending property events, exhibitions, talks and forums.
By getting an insight through research, house buyers will be able to secure their dream home with as little financial headache as possible.
As part of the exhibition activities, Mapex will be organising a series of talks and forums on Saturday and Sunday.
Topics include affordable housing, home financing and key property hotspots in Malaysia.
On Sunday, a panel discussion will be held from 2.30pm to 4.15pm on “Affordable Housing and Connectivity”. StarProperty.my Sdn Bhd general manager Ernest Bernard Towle will moderate.
Panelists include industry experts and stakeholders such as Mapex 2017 organising chairman and recent past president of Rehda Malaysia Datuk Ng Seing Liong, Sime Darby Property Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Wan Hashimi Albakri, and Khong & Jaafar group of companies managing director Elvin Fernandez.
Most of the panel members have years of experience and expertise in the property industry.
In addition, a talk on “Unlocking Top 7 Secrets & Strategies on How to Secure Home Financing from Banks!” will be held from 4.30pm to 5.15pm on the same day.
One of the speakers for that session is Smart Financing chief executive officer Gary Chua.
Another talk on “The Secret behind the Southern Corridor Growth” by Emjay Communications executive director Gunaprasath Bhupalan will take place from 5.30pm to 6.15pm.
