TROPICANA Bay Residences, the first phase of the RM10bil Penang WorldCity mixed integrated waterfront development, has enjoyed a highly positive response since its soft launch.
To date, 90% of units in its first five blocks have been taken up.
The sixth and final block is now open for registration, and will be featured at the four-day Star Property Fair 2015 in Queensbay Mall from Oct 1.
The project, located along the scenic Persiaran Bayan Indah in Bayan Lepas and scheduled for completion sometime in 2017, has elegant condominium units sized between 455sq ft and 1,945sq ft.
These come in eight well-designed and practical layouts priced from RM453,900 onwards for an average rate of RM850 psf.
Key features of Tropicana Bay Residences include an impressive drop-off point and resort-style amenities.
Together with its 22 and 21-storey towers are facilities like an overhanging pool, tennis court, sauna, gymnasium, multi-purpose hall, children’s playground, landscaped paths and sky deck, among others.
Penang WorldCity, sprawled over a massive 41.7ha of land, of which 14ha is reclaimed, it is envisioned as a mini-international city where inhabitants enjoy a refined lifestyle under the tropics.
It is a joint venture between established Penang developer Ivory Properties Group Bhd and Tropicana Corporation Bhd.
Overall, it is planned to have about 9,000 exclusive lifestyle residences, the majority of which are sized below 1,500sq ft to cater to a broader spectrum of buyers from various income levels.
Conceptualised by an international architect and designed to foster healthy outdoor living, it will be interspersed with water-themed parks and pockets of lush greenery.
These green belts separate the high-rises from bustling main streets, at the same time creating buffers for pedestrians, cyclists and strollers.
Penang WorldCity would also have high-end retail outlets, an international hotel, grade A offices, a convention centre and international school.
The litany of al fresco dining outlets, performing arts centre and wellness centre would make the city a premier destination for recreation, commerce and tourism.
Its strategic location between the Penang Bridge and the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge makes it convenient for residents to commute to various places of interest.
The Penang International Airport is just a short drive away, as are various shopping, financial, education and healthcare amenities in George Town via the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway.
