Eco World has launched its British colonial-style three-storey shop offices project in Eco Botanic.
The 200-unit shop offices, named Eco Boulevard, had all been snapped up and the keys were handed over to the owners in February, said Eco World Development Group Bhd president and chief executive officer Datuk Chang Kim Wah.
He was upbeat about Eco Boulevard’s potential to jump-start the Eco Botanic township development by offering a wide array of food and beverage outlets as well as lifestyle stores.
“So far, eight businesses have started operating here and we expect the rest of the tenants to gradually move in the next six months.
“We are assisting them in every way possible to help ease the process, such as applying for licences and utilities.
“Our value-added service does not stop there as we are continuously organising events and activities at Eco Botanic to create awareness about the area and help the tenants increase visitor volume,” he said during the launch of Eco Boulevard on Saturday.
Chang added that commercial areas usually take one to two years to be fully set up but Eco Boulevard aims to be completely up and running within six months.
He also said the development’s strategic location near the Second Link Expressway as well as the EduCity education hub in Iskandar Puteri would see students, teaching staff and tourists coming into the area to spend.
Designed with white, elegant features to reflect colonial architecture, Chang said the commercial lots are also located near major highways, making it easily accessible as well.
Besides residents in the surrounding residential areas, he said, Eco Botanic’s Green Mark Certified 472-unit serviced apartments, Eco Nest, which will be completed by end of this year, would also bring in the crowd to the commercial area.
