PETALING JAYA: Country Heights Sdn Bhd (CHSB) has been ordered to pay the Government tax arrears amounting to RM22.49mil.
Shah Alam High Court Justice Tun Abd Majid Tun Hamzah made the ruling yesterday, according to a statement issued by the Inland Revenue Board.
It stated that the outstanding tax amount was for the 1997 and 1998 years of assessment.
The statement said the judge also ordered CHSB to pay RM2,500 as costs to the Government.
The board was represented by counsels Al-Hummidallah Idrus and Arsyad Hasanuddin.
CHSB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Country Heights Holdings Bhd, which is involved in property development, property investment, and hospitality and health.
