GELANG PATAH: COUNTRY Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd is set to introduce another major tourist attraction with the soft launch of a golf hotel and show units for their residential units in Iskandar, Johor.
The Forest City Golf Hotel is part of a golf resort that has three golf courses and a mixture of residential units comprised of apartments and villas which amounts to RM1.8 bil.
This includes the road infrastructure and land, and is under the second phase of the Forest City development.
Country Garden Pacificview Sdn Bhd executive director, Datuk Md Othman Yusof said besides attracting tourists and golfers to the new tourist icon, the development will also provide job opportunities to the locals.
““The establishment of these new development will spell good news for the locals as there will be a total of 460 job opportunities with 250 vacancies in hotel and 210 for the golf courses.
“As of to date, we have a total number of 85 staff at the hotel and the first golf course, of which 100 per cent are locals. More will be employed when the hotel is completed,” he said.
The hotel is expected to be completed by the first half of 2018 while the first golf course will be completed by the second half of 2018.
It will be comprised of 305 rooms ranging in size from 45 sq m to 323 sq m are priced from RM300 to RM6,000.
There will be two towers of hotel rooms, each 11 floors high, with a ballroom that can cater to 400 people, a free form swimming pool and kids pool.
CGPV said the hotel is positioned for guests from Malaysia, China, Singapore and Korea, among others.
When fully completed, the low-density residential enclave is expected to have only a total population of about 1,300 residents.
There landed properties are expected to be completed by October 2019 and will be comprised of double-storey and three-storey cluster homes as well as semi-detached units with a size range of 2,034 sq ft to 6,975 sq ft. The properties are priced from RM1.38 million onwards.
Under the first phase, CGPV will unveil 202 units of villas with modern style roofs and a combination of design elements from across Europe.
CGPV is also building a connecting road stretching 9.6km from Forest City to the hotel, which will be ready by 2019.

Also, located next to the golf resort is the RM2.6 billion industrial building system (IBS) factory, which started operations in August this year.
