PETALING JAYA: Property projects should be built with future-proof features to keep up with modern innovations and ever-changing technology trends, Henry Butcher chief operating officer Tang Chee Meng (pic) said.
He said this included having Internet of Things-ready homes so that property owners can install the relevant technology and new applications in the future after the project has been completed.
This will enable the owners to update their home appliances when needed.
Tang said this is one of the factors that property buyers or investors should consider when choosing which property to buy.
He will be speaking on “Smart investing in a soft market” at the upcoming StarProperty.my Fair i-City Edition.
Tang said in a soft property market, it was important to be thorough and meticulous when deciding on which property to buy as every decision, big or small, will have major impacts.
“It is important to navigate the current real estate market carefully after considering the various factors.
“Choosing the right location is important. A location that is already well developed, convenient and have easily accessible facilities such as shopping malls and train stations could boost the value of the property.
“It is also important to buy from trustworthy developers
“This is an important consideration that can provide buyers with valuable return on investment,” said Tang.
Another factor to consider is to invest in projects that have unique features that set them apart from others.
“It is also crucial to research on the price of the property and make sure that the selected property does not differ too much from other nearby properties,” said Tang.
The fair will be held from Saturday to Monday from 11am to 7pm at i-Gallery, i-City, Shah Alam.
There will also be talks by different speakers on Sunday and Monday.
i-City will be giving away 1,000 free theme park tickets daily to visitors, while buyers stand a chance to win air tickets to cities such as London, Tokyo and Paris.
Charges for sale and purchase agreements and loan legal fees will be waived during the fair.
The upcoming i-City fair will also coincide with the StarProperty.my Win A Home (WAH) contest.
Homebuyers stand a chance to win a serviced condo at Section 13, Petaling Jaya, worth more than RM500,000, while visitors can take part in special WAH activities, such as creating boomerang videos and counting the WAH logo contest.
