PETALING JAYA: Atlantic Seafood Restaurant has opened the first seafood restaurant in Tropicana Golf & Country Resort (TGCR), with the capacity to host 210, elevating the food and beverage options of TGCR.
“Armed with 24 years of experience in crafting seafood cuisine, the Wong family sources fresh and sustainable ingredients, thus adding value to the restaurant and Tropicana Golf & Country Resort. This will continue to enhance our guests, community members and visitors’ gastronomic experience while also encouraging placemaking for the community,” Tropicana Corporation Bhd (Tropicana) independent non-executive chairman Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said.
“Combined with the modern transformation of our TGCR main wing, we are confident that discerning diners will want to experience a taste of the ocean at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort,” he added.
Atlantic Seafood Restaurant will have a menu with more than 219 dishes, and a wide variety of live seafood. The Unique Seafood Group began in the 1980s as a fresh seafood supplier and branched into its first restaurant in 2000.
“My parents, the founders of Unique Seafood – Datuk Wong Keong Fook and Datin Kok Yoke Sim – are the visionaries behind the success of our Group. Armed with their years of expertise and keen business sense together with my brother’s and my modern take in operating the business, we are confident that this new venture will certainly prosper,” Unique Seafood Group marketing and sales director Abby Wong said.
Having opened its doors in March, Atlantic Seafood Restaurant serves pork-free Chinese seafood with its signature cuisine curated by Low Chee Yeow and Lew Chee How, chefs previously featured in the Malaysia International Gastronomy Festival.
Priced from RM55 per pax for a four-course meal, Atlantic Seafood Restaurant will be offering a flash deal this May. Customers who provide a 5-star Google review with a minimum spend of RM388 will receive an RM38 rebate and an RM50 voucher.
Unique Seafood Group operations director Alex Wong, founder Datuk Wong Keong Fook and Datin Kok Yoke Sim, Tropicana chief executive officer Ong Chou Wen, deputy chief executive officer Khoo Thian Shyang and business advisor Adrian Gan were present at the opening.
