KUALA LUMPUR: Archidex, Asia’s leading architecture business event, is set to take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from July 3 to July 6. The event was organised in conjunction with the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival, under the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM), convening alongside the ASEAN-China Ministerial Roundtable on Construction and Housing (ACMROCH) 2024, hosted by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government.
Archidex 2024 expects approximately 700 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors across 100 countries. The event features strong regional cooperation, with international pavilions from Austria, China, Germany, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan. The event is expected to facilitate opportunities for bilateral trade and business transactions.
Archidex is targeted to facilitate the modernisation of the architecture industry with technology to create sustainable infrastructure in the built environment. The focus will be on pioneering methods to create eco-friendly structures that minimise environmental impact and centre communities. This year’s exhibition will emphasise the role of AI in the architecture and construction industries when it comes to addressing climate change and natural hazards.
The event will also host an installation inspired by Malaysian culture, featuring bamboo as its versatile and sustainable material.
The event features programmes such as the ARCAsia Committee for Young Architects (ACYA) to nurture young architects and the Asian Young Architects Programme. Additionally, the event will host a full-day forum and networking session.
