PETALING JAYA: The Bandar Puteri Puchong Interchange (BPP Interchange) – currently undergoing expansion and upgrading works is closed to traffic coming from Putrajaya, Shah Alam, Putra Heights and USJ since Sept 23, 2017.
The RM20mil project, which is wholly-funded and constructed by IOI Properties Group Bhd (IOIPG), is set to enhance connectivity of the township and improve traffic flow between Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP) and Bandar Puteri Puchong upon its completion.
According to the statement, since the commencement of work, alternative routes had been identified for the convenience of road users.
Given the ongoing works and to further enhance traffic flow, IOIPG has engaged with Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn Sdn (LITRAK), and an additional alternative route has been identified for the benefit of road users.
The latest traffic management plan which includes the additional alternative route is as follows:
Traffic from Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Seri Kembangan and Puchong South
- Exit LDP at the Puchong Utama interchange into Persiaran Tasik Prima
- Make a U-turn at the roundabout into Persiaran Tasik Prima
- Go straight to Puchong Utama interchange and continue straight into Jalan Puchong Utama 1
- Turn left at the junction into Jalan PU 1/1
- At traffic light junction, turn left into Jalan Puchong
- Turn right at the next intersection into Jalan Bakawali that will lead to Persiaran Puteri (see Traffic Management Plan D)
The interchange is currently serving the 1,000-acre Bandar Puteri Puchong township with a population of an estimated 11,500 residents and a thriving business hub of approximately 600 shop offices, four office towers at Puchong Financial Corporate Centre (PFCC) and Four Points by Sheraton Puchong.
Road users are advised to follow directions on signage placed along the alternative routes to get to their respective destination.
