A FEW years ago, the real estate market boom saw property prices shoot through the roof, leaving many youths wondering if they could ever afford a home to call their own.
The prospect of paying rents for the whole lives is bleak, but Gen-Ys can still afford properties if they are equipped with the right financial knowledge and skill sets, which will be readily offered by Propenomy Gym.
The two-day workshop was designed for Malaysian Gen Ys interested in purchasing a home but unsure about how to do it. It will be conducted by Dr Daniele Gambero and Khalil Adis, showing attendees that buying the first home is as easy as ABC.
Topics that will be covered range from “Transformation, Timing and Demand”; “Propenomy Model: Perception vs Reality”; “Gen Ys’ Needs”; “Property Market Report”; “Buying and Financing 101”; “Area Focuses” and “Renovation”.
The workshop will be held on Nov 26 and 27 (Saturday and Sunday) from 9am to 5pm at KLCC in conjunction with Starproperty.my Fair.
“We noticed many young Malaysians who want to buy a home yet unsure if they can afford them and how to go about doing it. Many Gen Ys lack financial literacy which greatly affects their chances of getting a home loan.
“To help them mitigate their risks, we will guide them from start to finish to ensure that they understand all the basics before buying a home up until they get their keys,” said Khalil.
“We also offer a one-stop centre, whereby we will advise them what to do three to six months prior to purchasing their home to ensure loan approval. We will also go the extra mile by helping them to identify suitable products that are affordable, yet offer the greatest room for capital appreciation.
“There is also a chance for them to get their course fee fully subsidised from the developer upon singing their Sales & Purchase Agreement (SPA), subject to terms and conditions.
"Dr. Daniele will cover the workshop from an economics perspective while I will provide an analysis from a Gen Y perspective, creating a win-win situation for all stakeholders,” added Khalil.
