Guests checking out the healthy meal sets packed with green compliant utensils and box at the PJ Midtown Development’s Green and Wellness event.

PJ MIDTOWN Development held an event to promote environmental preservation, and the importance of living an active and healthy lifestyle in support of World Environment Day.

Themed “A Vibrant Sustainable Lifestyle”, the event was held in collaboration with PurelyB, a health and wellness online portal as well as BGreen Design, an architectural consultancy firm specialising in green-related development projects.

Brunsfield Development Sdn Bhd marketing and sales general manager Felix Ng Tiam Chai said the event was a good way to educate society on going green.

“Everyone should love the environment for the sake of our future generations,” Ng said.

Guests also learned about eating healthy through a cooking demonstration, Living Consciously sharing session by PurelyB health and wellness director Marissa Parry.

CH&I Architecture Sdn Bhd and BGreen Design Sdn Bhd director Michael Ching Chee Hoong presented a talk on “Sustainable Living for The Future”.

“Living in a green building like PJ Midtown brings benefits to both homeowners and the environment. It reduces the use of energy which results in lower monthly expenditure and, at the same time, saves the earth.

“It may not seem like much but collectively, it is a lot,” Ching said.

Guests also took part in a relaxing yoga session by Robyn Lau, fun at the terrarium-making workshop by Tiny Forest and checked out the eco-bazaar which featured vendors promoting earth-consciousness and health-related products.

Participating vendors were Kuvings Malaysia, Hu-Nu Activewear, Nourish Skinrange, The Kettlebowl, Spoon Health, Seri Jushi, IL Puro, My Fitlosophy, Tea Bird Tea and Minor Figures.

Guests were also treated to a healthy meal packed in green compliant utensils and packaging, and flower pot ice creams topped with healthy cereal and delicious cookie crumble.

PJ Midtown Development also launched PJ Midtown Tower B, the last phase of the development offering 383 units in three layouts with built-up areas ranging from 613 to 1,277sq ft.

“We’ve received great response from the public with Block A, so we’re hoping for a similar response with Block B,” said Ng, adding that the development was GBI (Green Building Index) Gold compliant.

PJ Midtown Development, a joint venture between IOI Properties and Sime Darby Brunsfield, was awarded the Green Building Index Provisional Gold certificate and Star Property Awards 2016 The Earth Conscious Merit Award recently.
