SHAH ALAM: The Ministry of National Unity (KPN) is set to organise a Festival Perpaduan Etnik at i-City on Feb 17 and 18, 2024, in conjunction with the Chinese New Year festival. The event is aimed at fostering ethnic unity in Malaysia in line with the concept of Malaysia MADANI.
Two main events scheduled alongside this festival would be a spectacular fireworks display, reflecting the aspirations of the Malaysians on Feb 17 at 8pm and a Unity Walk on Feb 18 at 7am.
According to i-City director Monica Ong, the event will also feature activities such as self-defence demonstrations, fashion shows, outdoor cinema and cultural performances.
“Festival Perpaduan Etnik is part of the one-month-long celebration in i-City in conjunction with Chinese New Year. During this period, visitors will enjoy the sights and sounds of the festive atmosphere and at the same time, explore the new rides and attractions such as Digital Sports Arena, Immersive Winterland and Race Karting among others.
“Among the exciting events awaiting are the Acrobatic Lion and Dragon Dance performances on February 11 and 24, 2024, God of Prosperity walkabout giving out oranges and free entry to Red Carpet 2 wax museum as well as the opening of new mini attractions," she said.
