Taman Seri Taming residents want the authorities to put up one-way street signs for Jalan Seri Taming 1E.
Peter Jacob, a resident there, said Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) changed the road to a one-way street more than a year ago but there was no indication of it to road users aside from the arrow painted on the road.
“Without a no-entry or one-way street sign, some were unaware of the change and would drive on this street from the opposite direction.
“This has caused many arguments on the road especially during the morning rush hour,” said the 72-year-old.
On the issue of traffic flow, resident Pang Tong Ming said there were too many road humps from Taman Len Seng to the Aeon Mall Cheras Selatan.
“We are not against development and improvements to traffic flow but there are just too many road humps.
“I believe that road users are able to follow the speed limit here without the need for so many humps,” he said.
Serdang MCA Public Complaints Bureau chief Allan Liew said he received complaints from residents about the lack of signage regarding the change in traffic flow and urged the council to remedy the situation immediately.
“The one-way system was meant to improve traffic flow but now it seems to have worsened it.
“The council should get feedback from residents as they know the situation on the ground,” he said.
