THERE will be a temporary road closure on Saturday to pave the way for the George Town Heritage celebrations 2017 “Walk the Talk: Street Festival”.
Nine roads will be closed at different times from 5pm to 10pm.
To be closed from 7am to 11.59pm are Lebuh Acheh, Lebuh Ah Quee, Lebuh Armenian, Lebuh Cannon, Lorong Lumut and Lorong Pitt. Three other roads, Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, Lebuh Buckingham and Jalan Kampung Kolam will also be closed between 2pm to 11.59pm.
The people are advised to use public transport or to carpool when heading to the festival.
Visitors to the festival are also urged to park their cars at Prangin Mall, 1st Avenue Mall, or at the Penang Island City Council multi-storey car park in Beach Street.
