Taman Tangling residents will be able to hold all kinds of activities at the covered basketball court which is due for completion soon.

RESIDENTS in Taman Tangling in Nibong Tebal on mainland Penang will soon be hosting a variety of activities once a covered basketball court there is completed by the middle of this month.

The cement court located in a grassy field in the neighbourhood will also have lights for night activities.

State Works, Utilities and Transport Committee chairman Lim Hock Seng said construction of the court started on Dec 25 last year and it was expected to be ready on Jan 15.

“The court’s perimeter will also be fenced up.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, who was also present, said the court cost RM226,184 and the money was from his allocation to the Simpang Ampat Village Security and Development Committee.

Also present were Bukit Tambun assemblyman Law Choo Kiang and Bukit Tambun JKKK chairman Datuk Tan Kian Poo.
