ISKANDAR PUTERI: Supermarket chain Jaya Grocer has opened its first outlet in Johor at Sunway Citrine Hub in Sunway Iskandar here.

The launch of the 1,858sq m store, that specialises in premium produce and imported food items, is the chain’s 22nd outlet in the country.

Jaya Grocer brand ambassador Datuk Fazley Yaakob said the team was delighted to join the Sunway Iskandar community.

“Apart from imported food items, we will carry a range of organic produce and gluten-free food for the health-conscious,” he said during the outlet’s launching ceremony held at Iskandar Puteri.

A total of seven trolleys of groceries worth RM888 each were distributed to selected beneficiary homes in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration.

Soosay said Sunway was happy to welcome Jaya Grocer to Sunway Iskandar, which was another first for the state of Johor and that they were looking forward to Jaya Grocer’s premium offerings to delight the communities there.

To date, the 6,596sq m (net lettable area) Sunway Citrine Hub had signed up 24 tenants including Mr DIY, 7 Eleven, Awesome Brew, Heaven’s Door Bistro while Old Town White Coffee had also opened its doors in the retail and office development.

Other outlets that are expected to open its door soon will be The Reunion Kitchen, Eyemates Optical, Alley Lab Coffee Roasters, VOID (a wine and tapas bar) and Morganfield’s.

The hub is part of the Citrine integrated development at Sunway Iskandar’s spectacular Lakeview Precinct where besides the retail hub, the integrated development also features designer offices, and exclusive residences which overlook the 8.09ha resplendent Emerald Lake Garden.

Currently, the development’s 167 units of Citrine Design offices, with built-up areas from 69 to 185sq m had been sold while for The Citrine Residences, which features 328 units of serviced residences’, keys were handed over to owners in November last year.
