THE Kuala Lumpur landscape is set to change as Sime Darby Property’s integrated property development KL East makes its mark in the city’s east.
The 62-ha project is touted as the new lifestyle destination in the capital, with an enclave that encapsulates residential, lifestyle and commercial components.
Located about 15km from the city centre, KL East prides itself for being a development in the city with a facility dedicated to rainforest regeneration and promotion of sustainable living.
Sime Darby Property managing director Datuk Jauhari Hamidi said more than 50% of the development was green open spaces.
“Its natural backdrop is the Klang Gates Quartz Ridge, which is the longest of its kind in the world,” Jauhari said.
KL East is well connected, being an integrated Transit Adjacent Development (TAD) due to its Gombak Integrated Transport Terminal (GITT), as well as through highways such as the Ampang Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) and Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE).
With the upcoming Setiawangsa Pantai Expressay (SPE), KL East will also have direct links to the Tun Razak Exchange and the Bandar Malaysia development corridor.
The development’s inaugural residential twin towers, The Veo, has already recorded an 85% take-up rate of which 298 units out of its 350 were sold.
The 30-storey towers comprise 175 residential units each, with studios, three-bedroom, dual-key and duplex units that ranges from 735sq ft to 3,638sq ft.
“What followed next was the launch of Tower A of Quarza Residence, which took place in May last year.
“We’ve received encouraging response for the first tower and we look toward launching the second one in the near future,” he said.
Quarza Residences is an integrated development that features two residential towers of 254 units each.
The towers have a mix of one-bedroom units with built-up areas of 651sq ft and two-bed and two-bath units with a build-up of 850sq ft to 865sq ft.
It sits atop an upcoming mall that will occupy the first four levels of the development.
“We have plans to house renowned retail brands and F&B outlets as well as other components such as a supermarket, cinemas, and an ice rink.
“It will be a catalyst for business activities and also a lifestyle convenience for residents,” added Jauhari.
The mall is slated for opening in November 2018, and as of February this year, the developer recorded that 30% of the retail space has been taken up.
