Shah Alam, Selangor - 26 September 2016: Naza Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd (Naza EC) was awarded Best Project under the major building category which is for buildings above RM100 million, by Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Awards (MCIEA). Naza EC’s Chief Operating Officer, Md Arifin Naim was present to receive the company’s major industry award from Tan Sri Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, Chairman of CIDB during a gala dinner held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Kuala Lumpur last Friday evening.

Naza EC won the award for Naza Tower, a 50 storey office building within the 9.1 acre mixed integrated development of Platinum Park. The tower is located at Persiaran KLCC, Kuala Lumpur adjacent to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers.

Naza EC’s Managing Director, SM Faliq SM Nasimuddin is confident that this award will be one of many more to come. “Naza EC may be relatively new in the industry but its team’s diverse experience and expertise provides strong fundamentals for exponential growth with the capability to take on mega projects,” said SM Faliq.

Naza EC was instrumental in the construction of the entire Naza Tower. “As a Bumiputera-status company with a Grade G7 certification from the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Naza EC is poised to be a key player in the industry,” SM Faliq elaborated.

Naza EC’s order book is in excess of RM1.8 billion as of September 2016, covering both completed and current projects. Its current projects include Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), TTDI Dualis, TTDI Grove, TTDI Ascencia, and TTDI Alam Impian Phase1A, 1E and 1F.

Naza Tower at Platinum Park is the first helical shaped office building in Kuala Lumpur. The tower’s slim cylindrical structure reduces reflection and wind deflection to the ground but maximises daylight views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline due to its cylindrical core.

This single block GBI (Green Building Index) certified building has a net floor area of 532,470 sf. Materials used for the construction of Naza Tower are sustainable materials with reduction of water and electricity consumption. Motion sensors and Variable Voltage Variable Frequency (VVVF) motors are installed in the lifts to reduce electricity consumption.
