MALAYSIAN Mosaics Sdn Bhd plans to invest RM5mil to expand its presence outside Kuala Lumpur, where the company is headquartered.
Its chief executive officer Alex Yeow Wai Siaw said the RM5mil was about 2% of the company’s annual revenue to set up new show offices in other states to promote its tiles, marketed under the MML brand name, and provide technical support to the customers.
“In 2015, we invested in ultra high definition digital technology to produce and design the tiles. This has opened up endless possibilities in creating innovative ceramic and porcelain tile designs and surfaces.
“It also brought the design quality of MML products to a higher level in comparison with the ordinary digital products being offered in the market,” he said after opening the new office at SPICE Canopy in Jalan Tun Dr Awang in Penang, recently.
Yeow added that each MML tile series was designed by blending global design trends with local consumer needs, allowing highly customised interior designs to be realised.
“The company is expecting to grow by 15% to 20% in revenue annually. We managed to achieve our growth targets in recent years despite the soft property and construction market.”
He said the company was optimistic about the property development sector in the north.
“Our customers have been encouraging us to extend our office to showcase more of the brand’s offerings. The new show office in Penang will serve as our northern hub to enhance ourcustomers’ experience.
“It offers a compact lifestyle showcase for project developers, architects, interior designs, contractors and consumers to getup close and personal with the latest trends in luxury interior concepts,” he added.
According to Yeow, the MML brand not only stood for quality and innovative products but also luxury living.
“Offering ceramic and porcelain tile designs that are inspired from across the world, MML takes style to a whole new level.
“It is our aspiration to be the mover, shaker and style-maker in luxury interior concepts,” he said.
In 1964, industry experts from Japan, Italy and France were brought in to pioneer world-class technology and stringent quality management to help start up the company.
“Since then, the company has never stopped crafting tiles to the highest quality for consumers who deserve the best,” he added.
Malaysian Mosaics Sdn Bhd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the main market listed Hap Seng Consolidated Berhad.
