SELANGOR: Rexpoint Resources Sdn Bhd, in partnership with Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS), transformed the abandoned Rumah Selangor (RSKU) project in Gombak into Bayu Residensi. This mixed-development project covers 9.8 acres and includes 420 RSKU units and 1,240 apartment units.
Construction of the Bayu Residensi apartments began in 2020, achieving full completion with a Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) six months ahead of schedule. The project offers affordable units starting at RM225,000, with 37 facilities and four layouts ranging from 552 sq ft to 862 sq ft.
Bayu Residensi is strategically located near major infrastructures and has seen RM8mil spent on upgrading local roads, benefiting 50,000 motorists daily. The development is surrounded by amenities such as eateries, schools and hypermarkets.
In 2017, PKNS and Rexpoint took steps to resolve squatter problems that had been ongoing since 2014. The RSKU Seri Temenggung project was completed to facilitate the relocation of squatters. A total of 29 squatters were successfully relocated through ex-gratia payments and discounted offers for RSKU units. A handover ceremony for the offer letters was held on June 27, 2020, with Selangor Chief Minister Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari in attendance.
