SEREMBAN: Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd (Matrix Concepts) celebrated the economic transformation of Negeri Sembilan with the groundbreaking ceremony of MVV City, a flagship smart city in the 8,796-acre parcel B of the Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0. Officiated by Negeri Sembilan Chief Minister Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, the event was attended by over 1,000 guests including state exco members, Negeri Sembilan Corporation officials, representatives of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and the business community. Also present was Matrix Concepts founder and group executive deputy chairman Datuk Seri Lee Tian Hock.
Matrix Concepts is the strategic partner of the Negeri Sembilan state government in the development of Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0, slated to comprise a tech industrial park (Parcel A), a smart county (Parcel B), aerospace valley (Parcel C), integrated maritime hub and coastal corridor (Parcel C), unmanned vehicle valley (Parcel E) and a semiconductor valley (Parcel F). The MVV City, measuring 2,382 acres, will be the first phase in the smart county parcel, focusing on developing a smart and green city. MVV City development plan includes a 1,000-acre industrial area, 174-acre of commercial space and more than 15,000 residential units to be developed over 12 years, with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM15bil.
“MVV City is not a mere development, it is a catalyst for the shared vision of making Negeri Sembilan economically competitive, socially inclusive and environmentally sustainable,” Aminudin said.
“Matrix Concepts’ focus on industrial and integrated development, including the building of residential properties, will ensure that MVV City will not only spur investment activity but also create equitable opportunities to participate in and benefit from economic growth and development.
“I am confident that based on Matrix Concepts’ excellent track record proven through the success of its Bandar Sri Sendayan flagship project, it will be a solid foundation for MVV City’s growth and success,” he added.
Matrix Concepts chairman Datuk Mohamad Haslah Mohamad Amin said MVV City is designed to be a dynamic hub for innovation, entrepreneurship and the community.
“MVV City will offer a thriving economic zone that comes with commercial centres and educational institutions including technical and vocational training centres (TVET). The success of MVV City will be shaped by our unwavering commitment to the community, our relentless pursuit of excellence, and our drive for innovation,” he added.
MVV City is located at the south of Klang Valley and adjacent to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Mohamad Haslah said the city will be one of the stops of the Kuala Lumpur High-Speed Rail (HSR) project should HSR be implemented.
