KUALA LUMPUR: Mah Sing Group Bhd gets the second half of 2021 going with the introduction of their Mah Sing NOW campaign, a three-pronged approach for buyers who wish to own residential or commercial properties in the central, northern and southern regions.

The campaign coincides with the country’s ongoing country’s biggest vaccination programme as property buyers will be able to enjoy three doses of home ownership boosters under the NOW campaign, namely Own Now, Zero Now and Save Now, for selected units in the participating projects.

The first dose Own Now offers easy entry for buyers, facilitating easy loan approval with Maybank Houzkey. This is followed by the second dose Zero Now where the approach offers zero payments for buyers namely zero downpayment, zero payment during construction, as well as zero legal fees on SPA and loan.

The whole process is complemented with the third dose, namely Save Now, which will see the campaign providing big savings with up to 50% off the monthly payments, savings on MOT and free furnishing.

Additional cash incentive also awaits buyers who can prove that they are vaccinated or have registered for vaccination by showcasing their vaccination certificate or appointment.

“In line with the government’s target to have all adults in Malaysia to be fully vaccinated by October, we have engaged in and applied for various vaccination programmes under the government and state initiatives for our employees across Property, Plastics and Healthcare divisions.

“Currently, 80% of our employees have received at least the first dose of vaccination with the group targeting to achieve 100% of its employees to be vaccinated by August 2021. This is part of our continuous efforts in ensuring that our employees will be vaccinated and offering a safe operating environment for both employees and customers,” said Mah Sing founder and group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum said.

As more segments of the population are being inoculated and businesses are getting ready to re-open, consumers are expected to regain confidence in spending, including big item purchases such as properties, he said.

“The purchasing power from households will gradually improve and we foresee affordably priced properties at strategic locations will still be well sought after. The Home Ownership Campaign, which has been extended by the government until 31 December 2021, will provide further relief for buyers, while the multiple rounds of Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) cut to a record low of 1.75%, has made it more affordable to own a home now and is beneficial for the property sector.

“We also remain positive on the mid to long term outlook of the sector supported by strong fundamental demand for properties due to the young demography,” he added.

Mah Sing group chief executive officer Datuk Ho Hon Sang pointed out that many potential buyers are still hoping to own their own dream home, but are put off by cash-flow and economic stability concerns.

“We hope the three doses of home ownership boosters under Mah Sing’s NOW Campaign, namely Own Now, Zero Now and Save Now, will ease further their property ownership journey.

“With various residential and commercial projects offered to choose from, the campaign is also targeting those who are employed in the booming and recovery industries, first time home buyers and home upgraders, as well as SME business owners in the recovery industries,” Ho said.

The campaign, which ends on Sept 30 this year, covers the group’s 17 completed and under-construction residential and commercial projects in the Klang Valley, Johor and Penang.
