PETALING JAYA: Property developer Mah Sing Group Bhd has organised an open house showcasing the evolution of the Southville City townships and the group’s various other developments, accompanied by a performance of the group’s Chinese New Year theme song by artist Crystal Liew Yen Yen, lion dance and a workshop on Chinese craft.

Attended by residents of Southville City, buyers and guests from surrounding areas, they were welcomed by Mah Sing Group’s founder and group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum, group chief executive officer and executive director Datuk Voon Tin Yow, property subsidiaries chief executive officer Benjamin Ong and the group’s senior management team.

“As we embrace the Year of Dragon, we are delighted to welcome everyone to our open house event, where we celebrate the richness of culture, the spirit of community and the promise of a brighter future,” said Leong.

“Mah Sing achieved RM2.26 billion sales in 2023 and has set a higher minimum sales target of RM2.5 billion for 2024. This year holds great promise as we aim to launch all our new developments, including high-rise, landed residential and industrial projects, as well as our new township - M Legasi by the end of 2024,” he added.

Ong shared that the group has had several successful townships in its list of achievements since developing its maiden township project Sri Pulai Perdana in Skudai, Johor.

“We have led numerous successful townships, such as M Residence in Rawang where we have 478-acre townships, 428-acre Southville City in Bangi and 1,313-acre Meridin East in Johor. Each of our townships is meticulously planned to offer convenience, accessibility, and proximity to essential amenities, ensuring a holistic living experience,” he said.

Unveiling the current progress of Southville City, guests were given a view of some 5,000 units of homes from various phases like Savanna Executive Suites, Avens Residence and Cerrado Suites which have been delivered, with the newest phase Sensory Residence targeted for vacant possession in Q12024.

The township now features parks, covered walkways, green and safety features, and is within walking distance of retail outlets. Its 9.62–acre Summit Park stands as Malaysia’s pioneering public park playground to attain certification from the Playground Safety Association of Malaysia (PSAM), meeting the rigorous International Playground Safety Standard.

At the event, Southville City’s next launch, M Sinar was also announced, with the show unit now open for private viewing upon registration. Situated on a 5.77-acre plot, M Sinar offers two distinct layout options – Type A, boasting an indicative built-up area of 550 sq. ft. and Type B, featuring 868 sq ft, with indicative prices starting from RM270,000.
