PETALING JAYA: Mah Sing Group held the groundbreaking ceremony for SJK (C) Sim Mow Yu, the 1st Chinese vernacular school in Meridin East’s township.

Details:

1. Mah Sing is allocating 9.66 acres of land to develop SJK (C) Sim Mow Yu
2. Mah Sing will be actively involved in the building of the school
3. The school is targeted to be completed by 2019
4. SJK (C) Sim Mow Yu will be a 3-storey building with 24 classrooms, a canteen and administrative offices
5. The school is expected to accommodate up to 1,000 students
6. Once the school is completed, it will be handed over to the Ministry of Education and the school’s board

“Education is the backbone of a nation, which is why it is the government’s top priority to provide educational opportunities to every child. We want to equip our children with knowledge and skills to prepare them as they handle challenges as future leaders of tomorrow,” said Minister of Transport YB Datuk Sri Liow Tiong Lai in a statement.

The event also saw the opening of Ixora Commercial Centre at the Meridin East Sales Gallery and Show Village for public preview.
