PETALING JAYA: Property developer Mah Sing Group Bhd together with its charity arm Mah Sing Foundation raised a total of RM6.63million this year.
This was celebrated during the “Mah Sing Foundation Musical Night” held at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
According to Mah Sing Foundation chairman Datuk Indera Syed Norulzaman, Mah Sing Foundation has contributed more than RM8mil and impacted more than 10,000 beneficiaries since 2015.
“2018 marks the 13th year of Mah Sing Foundation’s establishment and we are extremely privileged to have the opportunity to reach out and give back to the community with the support of our generous donors,” said Norulzaman.
With the announced transformation last year, Mah Sing Foundation focuses on the three key pillars which are education, health and wellbeing, as well as community development.
Norulzaman said that the flagship program — School+ Programme and the Community+ Programme were created in-line with the vision and hoped that it will provide an equal educational opportunity for every child.
The guest of honours for the night, Kuala Lumpur mayor Tan Sri Haji Amin Nordin Abdul Aziz commended Mah Sing Foundation’s efforts to create a sustainable environment for every level of society.
“I would like to express my support and appreciation to the charitable organisations and beneficiaries here today for playing a significant role in helping the children, the community and the country,” said Amin, adding that the undivided commitment is what made Malaysia and the world a better place.
The successful endeavour was celebrated with the musical show ‘A Walk Down Memory Lane’ where it depicted the history of Mah Sing Foundation and the inspiration that led to its inception in 2005. Accompanying the performance was multiple award-winning bilingual theatre company, Dama Asia.
