KUALA LUMPUR: Mah Sing Group Bhd wrapped up 2020 on a high note having clinched six awards across various categories at the fifth installation of the StarProperty Awards 2020: Real Estate Developer event.
The winners of this year’s edition of StarProperty Awards were announced in March 2020, with the award ceremony held virtually for the first time yesterday, following the “new norm.” Under StarProperty All-Stars Award, Mah Sing received the award for “Financially Strongest,” and was also announced as one of the 15 winners for “Best Overall Champions” award. Mah Sing also bagged the “Skyline Award (Excellence)” which went to M Oscar, an affluent residential project situated off Kuchai Lama.
On top of that, Mah Sing’s M Vertica in Cheras and the Orchid @ Meridin East in Johor claimed the “Family Friendly Award (High Rise) (Honours)” and the “Starter Home Award (Honours)” respectively. Also present at the award giving ceremony were Star Media Group chairman Datuk Fu Ah Kiow, StarProperty general manager Jason Yap, Mah Sing general manager Chris Chen, and chief operating officer Yeoh Chee Beng.
Mah Sing group managing director Tan Sri Sri Leong Hoy Kum said, “The awards from StarProperty is a recognition towards our continuous effort in offering quality products with great features and designs for our customers. This will act as a motivation for Mah Sing to carry on with delivering quality products that meet the current homebuyers’ needs.
“In addition, Mah Sing’s culture of fast execution and financial prudence is always key to success and we will continue to do our very best for the home buyers and stakeholders who believe in us. Mah Sing will continue to reinvent spaces and enhance the lives of surrounding communities, and we look forward to 2021 to be a better year ahead.”
Apart from that, Mah Sing chief executive officer Datuk Ho Hon Sang was honoured the “Most Exceptional CEO for 2019” award, for his contribution towards Mah Sing’s outstanding performance. Datuk Ho Hon Sang was appointed to the role of CEO at Mah Sing on Aug 1, 2016.
Ho said, “I’m grateful for the acknowledgement as I believe this award is made possible thanks to the great teamwork from my colleagues and the dedication they have for the company. With Tan Sri Datuk Sri Leong Hoy Kum’s leadership and the trust given to me, Mah Sing has grown from strength to strength within this few years especially now that it has entered into glove manufacturing business. We will continue to work together to drive the company towards reaching greater heights.”
